Job Description – Drafter

Overview:

Production and maintenance of residential working drawings using AutoCad software platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Perform CAD drawing duties to produce homesite specific plans
• Coordinate with outside resources to order, review and revise homesite-specific working drawing plans sets
• Submit required documentation for permitting with the Cities and Watershed
• Provide overflow drafting work for in-house architecture projects
• Assist in the maintenance of existing CAD file library of floorplans and details
• Work with various departments to provide support for the job-start process
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Two (2) – Four (4) years AutoCad Architecture Software
• Associates degree or higher in Architecture, Drafting/Design or related preferred
• Experience in drafting/design for high-volume production homebuilding operation preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills - Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be able to perform accurate, consistent and detail-oriented work
• Highly Motivated
• Eligible candidates must be able to commute to the Minnetonka office
